Details Of Project
As one of the critical deliverables for the Thameslink programme, the larger footbridge was key to the overall programme. Farringdon is a strategic interchange station, with increasing passenger footfall. The structure itself is the centrepiece of the station redevelopment. Elliptical in section, combining ‘one-off’ curved stainless steel and glass panels.

Project Leaders assisted with, at times, challenging stakeholder alignment; re-casting the programme, and the organisation of work within complicated London Underground and Network Rail possessions. The team had to work intelligently to meet the diverse requirements of both the Underground and Overground railways.
The bridge, a complex piece of engineering, was safely installed and opened to the public on the due date, and allowed railway timetable changes to take place releasing key elements of infrastructure to be upgraded.
Project Leaders are proud to be associated with Network Rail’s success in the timely delivery of this complex piece of engineering.
