Details Of Project

This is a developmental programme of work to cool the LU infrastructure. It involves implementing innovative solutions to the problem of increasing temperature levels on the Tube.

Project Leaders as the Programme Managers and CDM co-coordinator are responsible for ensuring compliance. The first of the solutions is now being implemented, and has presented some interesting CDM compliance issues.

This involves not only the adequacy of design as far as the construction phase of the programme is concerned, but because this solution changes lighting types and levels, consultation with human factors specialists and the medical profession has also been required.

Hazard reduction during the construction and maintenance phases has been a major factor in both the selection and development of the final solutions.
