Robert Lines
Chairman
Robert comes from a background in strategy and programme Leadership that was initially honed by one of the Big 5 UK consultancy firms.
His stakeholder management and thought leadership has seen him successfully enhance this capability at an executive level in the Rail Industry.
Both his strategic and tactical leadership in delivery has ensured success in many major programmes including Southern Region New Trains Programme, Thameslink – Blackfriars Station Redevelopment and the introduction of FTN/GSMR system to the rail infrastructure.
Richard Schofield
Chief Executive Officer
Richard served as Head of Civil Engineering for the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (HS1), overseeing construction and operation, and later managing it as Network Rail General Manager. He led rail infrastructure delivery for the 2012 Olympics and chaired the Trial Running Mobilisation Board for the Crossrail project as MTR Elizabeth line’s Programme Director. In 2021, he became MTR UK’s Infrastructure Director, focusing on rail infrastructure capability.
David Linley
Commercial Director
David brings over 40 years of commercial management expertise, specialising in professional services contracts and multi-discipline design and build projects. Notable achievements include leading procurement and commercial management for major projects like the Channel Tunnel Rail Link and Thameslink Programme. With 18 years of international experience, he excels in delivering programs on or below budget, with strengths in contract drafting, tender evaluation, and robust commercial management.
Alison Bell
People & Communications Director
Alison, an accomplished leader with over two decades of HR and communications experience, played a key role in establishing MTR Elizabeth line. Her pragmatic approach delivers tangible business benefits, maintaining flawless relationships with Trade Unions and zero industrial disputes. Alison holds a Postgraduate MA in Personnel and Development and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
Matt Barker
Development Director
Matt brings over 20 years of experience in project and programme management across a variety of sectors. His career is marked by successful leadership in delivering complex projects, driving business growth, and implementing transformational change. At Project Leaders, Matt focuses on business development while also supporting various aspects of the organisation, ensuring we continue to deliver outstanding results for our clients.
Tahir Ahmad
Managing Director
Tahir, a seasoned Senior Manager, brings over a decade of Project Management experience and 15 years in asset management across sectors like MEP, Signalling, and Power. Notable achievements include leading change management efforts and spearheading projects like the Thameslink Project at London Bridge and Farringdon, along with managing Blackfriars Station construction. With a BSc in Computing and Energy Studies and certifications including Six Sigma Champion and NEBOSH, Tahir consistently drives impactful outcomes in diverse project environments.
Calvin Trill
Divisional Director, Rail
Calvin, an APM Chartered Project Manager and Registered Project Professional, brings extensive experience from both Client and Contractor sides, including distinguished projects like Thameslink. Skilled across all project lifecycle stages, he excels in project development, planning, and delivery. As Divisional Director Rail Calvin oversees mainline railway delivery works for prominent organisations in the rail industry within the UK.
Jamie Henwood
Divisional Director, Infrastructure and Projects
Jamie, an experienced project manager with a strong work ethic, serves as Divisional Director Infrastructure and Projects, drawing on multidiscipline experience from both Client and Contractor side. Jamie's achievements include leading Crossrail planning and managing construction blockades as part of the Crossrail recovery programme. With a BSc in Business IT and certifications including APM, PRINCE2 and Primavera P6, Jamie excels in strategic project management, flourishes in dynamic environments, and drives business success.
